The 2026 Batang Pinoy Chess Championships come to Ayala Mall, Bacolod City, from December 12 to 18, 2026 — the chess competition of the Philippine Sports Commission's Batang Pinoy national youth games, organized by the PSC in cooperation with the National Chess Federation of the Philippines. Young players compete in single-year age categories from 8 to 15 years old (born 2011 to 2018), with 2 boys and 2 girls per age category representing each LGU. There are 7 tournament events: Standard Chess (30 minutes + 30 seconds), Rapid Chess Team Doubles (10+5), Blitz Chess Individual (3+2), Blitz Chess Team Mixed (3+2), Chess 960 / Freestyle Rapid Team Mixed (10+5), Bughouse / Transfer Chess Blitz Team Doubles (10+0) and ASEAN Chess Blitz Team Doubles (3+2). Participants are not required to compete in every event. Player registration is through the LGU only — there is no individual registration.
