An 8-round Swiss System played at 60 minutes + 30 seconds increment. All players reaching 4.5 points advance to the semi-finals; semi-final winners proceed to the Grand Finals, whose winners represent the country internationally.

PATHWAY All players with 4.5 points advance to the semi-finals, where qualifiers face FM/IMs (men) and WFM/WIMs (women). Semi-final winners proceed to the Grand Finals against NCFP-nominated players and Grandmasters. Grand Final winners represent the country in international competition. All players receive certificates of participation.
