The Misamis Occidental Philippines International Open runs from November 10 to 17, 2026 at the Asenso Misamis Occidental Resort and Acquamarine Park (AMORAP) in Sinacaban, Misamis Occidental. It starts immediately after the 7th ASEAN+ Individual Chess Championships at the same venue, and welcomes Filipino and international players alike. Unlike the ASEAN+ championship, it is open to players from all national chess federations. The National Chess Federation of the Philippines hosts it in cooperation with the Philippine Sports Commission, the ASEAN Chess Confederation and the Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental. It is the second of three consecutive international championships in the Philippines this November, offering international exposure, rating improvement and title norms.
