The Gensan Chess Championship is the GSC Chess Club's October activity at Robinsons Place, General Santos City on Sunday, October 11, 2026. Its goal is to crown an officially recognized local chess champion of GenSan every year. Seven rounds of Swiss at 15 minutes plus a 10-second increment. Registration opens at 9:00 AM and Round 1 starts at 11:00 AM. The registration fee is ₱200. The tournament is exclusive to GenSan players — registered voters or residents of at least 5 years — though junior high school and elementary players from outside GenSan may join. The champion takes ₱2,500 plus a trophy, with cash prizes down to 9th place and special awards for the top females, top junior high school and top elementary players.
