The Barangay Dakit Open Rapid Chess Tournament 2026 is a one-day rapid event on Sunday, August 23, 2026 at the Barangay Dakit Covered Court in Brgy. Dakit, Sogod, Cebu, running from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. It is a partnership event between Barangay Dakit and Sogod Knights Club, Inc., open to all ages and played over 7 rounds of Swiss at 15 minutes + 5 seconds increment. Entry is ₱200 for non-SKCI players, ₱150 for SKCI members, and free for residents of Barangay Dakit. A ₱3,000 champion prize leads a cash ladder down to 10th place, alongside special awards for the top Barangay Dakit player, top female, top senior, top junior (U18), and top U12.
