The 7th ASEAN+ Individual Chess Championships run from November 2 to 10, 2026 at the Asenso Misamis Occidental Resort and Acquamarine Park (AMORAP) in Sinacaban, Misamis Occidental. The National Chess Federation of the Philippines hosts it in cooperation with the Philippine Sports Commission, the ASEAN Chess Confederation and the Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental. It features the Open, Women's, Challenger and ASEAN+ Age Group categories for Under-10, Under-12 and Under-14 Boys and Girls. This is the first of three consecutive international championships in the Philippines this November. It is followed immediately by the Misamis Occidental Philippines International Open at the same venue, and then by the AQ Prime International Chess Championship in Quezon City — a series built so visiting delegations can play three events on one trip, with opportunities for international exposure, rating improvement and title norms. Misamis Occidental hosted the 6th ASEAN+ Individual Chess Championships in 2025. Important: participation is limited to players representing the 23 ASEAN+ member federations listed below.
