The 58th Noypi Chess Training Tournament is a 1950 & Below rapid event at Victory Plaza in Caloocan on Saturday, August 22, 2026, with registration and player confirmation from 11:30 AM and the first round at 12:30 PM. It runs six or seven rounds of Swiss System play at 10 minutes plus a 5-second increment in Fischer mode, paired with Swiss Manager, under the FIDE Laws of Chess for Rapid. This is deliberately a NON-FIDE-rated event. The August 1, 2026 FIDE Rapid Rating List is used only for the 1950 & Below eligibility cut-off and for initial ranking — players will not earn or lose FIDE rating points here. The tournament is built for chess training, tournament preparation, competitive practice and match experience: train, compete, improve. Rated and unrated players are both welcome, as are titled and untitled players. NCFP membership is not required, though the organisers encourage it. Cash prizes and medals await the champion, the two runners-up and the top category finishers. Slots are limited and there is no onsite registration once they are filled.
