The AQ Prime International Chess Championship runs from November 17 to 25, 2026 at the Quezon City MICE Center. It closes the three-event international series the National Chess Federation of the Philippines has put together for November, following the 7th ASEAN+ Individual Chess Championships and the Misamis Occidental Philippines International Open — both held at AMORAP in Sinacaban, Misamis Occidental. The championship is open to players from all national chess federations. NCFP hosts it in cooperation with the Philippine Sports Commission and its event partners, with AQ Prime — led by its President and CEO Atty. Aldwin Alegre — as the title partner. The series is built to give players international exposure, rating improvement, title norms and professional development, and lets visiting delegations play three consecutive events on one trip while seeing two destinations: Misamis Occidental in Mindanao and Quezon City in Metro Manila.
