About the Tournament

The 6th Governor Henry S. Oaminal Chess Festival presents the Asenso Ozamiz Open Chess Tournament together with the inaugural 1st 3x3 (Tatluhan) Team Tournament. July 11–12, 2026 at the Ozamiz City Gym, Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental. FIDE-rated. The Open Tournament is a 9-Round Swiss System, 15 minutes + 3 seconds increment. Total prize pool of over ₱400,000 across all categories.

Eligibility: Open Tournament: open to all; players must be bonafide NCFP members in good standing. 3x3 (Tatluhan) Team: teams of three with a combined average FIDE rating of 1950 & below (June 2026 Rapid list). Separate High School and Elementary categories also offered.
