The 5th NA Jojo Palero Chess Battle is a one-day rapid chess tournament for High School and Elementary players on Saturday, August 22, 2026, 11:00 AM to 6:30 PM at NCCC Mall Ma-a, Davao City. The day opens with a mixed Blitz event for High School and Elementary players at 11:00 AM (₱100 registration), followed by the main Rapid tournament for both levels at 1:00 PM. Registration is ₱250 for High School and ₱200 for Elementary. High School prizes run from ₱2,000 for the champion down to ₱300 each for 5th–9th place, plus ₱300 for the Top Lady — all with medals. Elementary prizes run from ₱1,500 for the champion down to ₱250 each for 5th–9th place, plus ₱250 for the Top Lady and ₱200 for the Youngest Player.
