The 1000 GrandMasters "Follow Your Passion" Rapid Chess Tournament is a one-day rapid event at Robinsons Galleria, EDSA corner Ortigas Avenue, Quezon City on Sunday, October 18, 2026, 10:00 AM. Seven rounds of Swiss System at 15 minutes + 3 seconds increment, in two divisions: Kiddies (12 years old & under) and Open Age for players rated 1900 & below (rating as of September 2026). The Open Age champion takes ₱6,000 + medal and the Kiddies champion ₱4,000 + medal, with cash prizes and medals down to 10th place in both divisions, plus category awards for top lady, age-group, senior, high school and college finishers. Entry fee ₱400 for Kiddies and ₱500 for Open Age. Open to all non-titled, non-rated and rated players.
