The 1st Tigaon CamSur FIDE-Rated Chess Tournament 2026 is a free-entry, FIDE Rapid-rated event held at the Tigaon Sports Complex in Tigaon, Camarines Sur on August 1–2, 2026 as part of the Tig-aw Festival. It is a 7-round rapid tournament played at 25 minutes + 5 seconds increment, with three divisions: Open Age (1800 and below), High School and Elementary. The Open Age champion takes ₱10,000, with cash prizes down to 10th place in every division plus Top Tigaoeño, Top Lady and Top Senior awards. Registration is absolutely FREE — the only requirement is an active NCFP membership in good standing. Organized by the Tigaon Sports and Youth Development Office with the NCFP, Tamban Chess Club, Isarog Chess Club and the National Youth Commission. Free billeting is provided for visiting players at the PAGCOR Building, Barangay Vinagre.
