The Jun Olis Memorial Open Chess Tournament is an open rapid chess event held at Mahi Center Mall in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu on June 14, 2026 (Sunday) starting 10:00 AM. The tournament is open to all and runs 8–9 rounds Swiss with a time control of 15 minutes + 3 seconds increment per move. Local ratings as of April 2026 will be used to seed players. The event honors the late Jun Olis and is jointly run by Cebu School of Chess and Bankal Chess Club Community (BCCC), with venue support from Mahi Center Mall and additional support from BLC Aircon and Refrigeration Services, Grand Taison Construction (Architect Stefany Zenith Booc Rosales), DTI Region VII, Rosales Rental, and CEPCA.

Registration tiers: • Discounted — ₱250 (Bankal member, PWD, Senior, or Opanganon resident) • Regular — ₱300 • Onsite / Walk-in — ₱350 Special Category Awards (cross-cutting; one prize per winner, players receive whichever prize is higher): • Top Opanganon — ₱500 • Top Senior (55 & above) — ₱500 • Top Bankal — ₱400 • Top 17 & Under — ₱400 • Top PWD — ₱350 • Top 12 & Under — ₱300 In case of tied prize amounts, the order of precedence is: 1) Top Opanganon, 2) Top Bankal, 3) Age Category prizes.
