A bughouse rapid chess tournament at NCCC Mall Tagum on Sunday, August 16, 2026, in partnership with NCCC Chess Mate Tagum City and NCCC Mall Tagum. Bughouse is a team chess variant played by two players per team — captured pieces are passed to your partner to use in their game. Every entry needs a partner: two players make one team. Open to all players. Registration starts at 10:00 AM and entry is ₱300, with a ₱100 blitz side event on the same day. The champion team takes ₱2,000, with cash down to 4th place plus ₱300 each for the top high school and top elementary finishers. Organized by Carlito Castro Castle.
