Barangay Laguitas holds a community chess tournament at the Barangay Laguitas Covered Court in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon on Friday, August 14, 2026. Registration opens at 8:00 AM and play begins 9:00 AM sharp. Three divisions are contested — Elementary, High School, and Open Age. The first-place winner in each division receives a brand new chess board donated by Hon. Board Member Bobby Jay Dinlayan. The day also features a simultaneous exhibition against Board Member Bobby Jay Dinlayan from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Any player who beats him takes home a special cash prize. Sponsored by Hon.
