The first-ever Santa Cruz Rapid Chess Tournament is held at the Covered Court in Sta. Cruz, Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at 9:00 AM sharp. A single Open/Mixed category played at 10 minutes + 3 seconds increment. The champion takes ₱4,000 and a plaque, with cash prizes and medals down to the 9th runner-up, plus seven ₱300 special awards including two reserved for Sta. Cruz players. Registration is ₱150 via GCash and is limited to 100 players, first come first served. There is strictly no on-site registration.
