The first-ever FIDE-rated chess tournament in Kabankalan City, held in celebration of the city's 29th Charter Anniversary as part of the Kabuganaan Festival 2026. A 7-round FIDE-rated rapid (10 minutes + 5 seconds increment) at the Kabankalan City Hall Lobby on Saturday, August 1, 2026, starting 8:00 AM. Two sections — 13 Under and 18 Under — each with a ₱5,000 champion's purse, trophies for the top three and medals through 10th place, plus Top Female and Youngest Participant awards. Open to all eligible players; active and non-active NCFP members are welcome to join. Registration is ₱300 (₱200 for Kabankalanon) via GCash, deadline July 30, 2026 — no onsite registration.
