The Dauin Knights Chess Club brings back its Dauin Fiesta chess offering with the 4th Hon. Mayor Galicano Truita Open Rapid FIDE-Rated Chess Tournament, held on Sunday, September 13, 2026 at the air-conditioned Functional Hall of the Mega Market in Dauin, Negros Oriental. The event is FIDE-rated rapid and runs three sections — Open, 18 & Under and 12 & Under — under the Swiss System. All participants in good standing may join, whether or not they are active NCFP members. Registration fees are tiered by residency: Dauinanons pay a lower rate in every section. Register by sending your payment to GCash 0975 673 1790 (Rosafina Jhoy Grefalde), or reserve a playing slot through NA/AFM Mart Olendo, NA Wilmier Barron, NA Rose Fernandez, Ms. Arriana Nicole Brizo, or any of the NCC64 arbiters or DKCC officers. The tournament is headed by NA Gil Tuballa of the Dauin Knights Chess Club, in cooperation with Negros Chess Club 64, Inc., supported by the Negros Oriental Sports Development Program (NOSDEP), sanctioned by the National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP), and recognized by the International Chess Federation (FIDE).
