Rapid Saturday is back for its 15th edition. Chess Jam Academy runs the series at CityMall Surigao, and this leg is on Saturday, August 8, 2026, with Round 1 at 1:00 PM. Three divisions play side by side — Open, Beginner, and Intermediate — so newcomers get a field of their own instead of being paired straight into the strongest players in the hall. Every division has its own cash prize ladder plus a Top Female award. Entry is ₱100 across the board. The format is 5 to 7 rounds of Swiss System at a rapid time control of 10 minutes plus 2 seconds increment per move. Whether it is your first tournament or your fifteenth Rapid Saturday, there is a section for you.
