The 5th Boss Capa Chess Training Tournament is a one-day rapid training event held at the 3rd Floor of Victory Plaza, Caloocan City on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at 9:00 AM. It is open to players with a Chess Portal Rapid Rating of 1899 and below based on the July 1, 2026 rating list. Format is a Swiss System of 5 to 6 rounds depending on the number of participants, played at 8 minutes + 4 seconds increment per move under the FIDE Rapid Laws of Chess. Registration is ₱400, the field is capped at 80 players, and there is strictly no onsite registration — advance registration only.

PRIZE FUND — guaranteed if 30 or more players participate: Champion ₱4,000 + medal · 2nd ₱2,000 + medal · 3rd ₱1,200 + medal · 4th ₱800 · 5th to 8th ₱500 each. CATEGORY AWARDS — ₱500 + medal each, with a minimum of four (4) participants required per category: Top Lady · Top Elementary · Top Jr./Sr. High · Top College · Top Golden Boy (50+) · Top Senior (60+). TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE — 8:45 AM player confirmation and opening ceremony · Round 1 at 9:00 AM · Round 2 at 9:30 AM · Round 3 at 10:00 AM · Round 4 at 10:30 AM · Round 5 at 11:00 AM · Round 6 at 11:30 AM (if needed) · awarding ceremony 12:00 PM. Hosted at Victory Plaza, Caloocan City.
