The Consolacion Chess Club organizes the chess discipline of the 16th Mayor Teresa Alegado Cup, an over-the-board rapid tournament at CityMall Consolacion on October 3 and 4, 2026. Come on the day of your section. Saturday, October 3 is Adults 21 & Up. Sunday, October 4 is Under 20 and Under 12. Registration runs 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on each day, with Round 1 at 10:30 AM. The registration fee is ₱50 and registration is onsite only — there is no online registration. Late arrivals may still be accommodated and will be added in the next available round. The format is Swiss System at 10 minutes + 5 seconds, 5 to 7 rounds per section depending on turnout, with the final round count announced after registration closes. Players are paired by age — Under 20 plays Under 20, Under 12 plays Under 12. Each age section has two prize lists: one for Consolacion residents and one for CCC Members. At registration each player chooses one list and is ranked for that list only — no player wins in two lists. Everyone in a section plays the same tournament and the same pairings; only the prize list differs. Age is reckoned as of tournament day.
