The Carcar Mayor's Cup Chess Tournament 2026 — "One City. One Chess Community." — is a two-day over-the-board event exclusively for Carcar players and Carcar students, hosted at the People's Hall on the 4th floor of Carcar City Hall. Saturday, September 19, 2026 runs the youth categories: Elementary (₱50 registration) and High School (₱100 registration). Sunday, September 20, 2026 runs the Open category (₱100 registration). Players must be at the venue by 9:00 AM on their playing day. Payment is onsite. Cash prizes go down to 2nd Placer in all three categories, topped by ₱3,000 for the Open champion, plus special awards for Top Senior and Top Female. Every player must bring a valid ID or proof of residency/enrollment for verification on the day of the tournament. Carcaranons — come, compete, represent your barangay, school and city.
