The 2026 SDA Mayor's Cup Chess Tournament runs on Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 8:00 AM onwards at the Sto. Domingo CS Gabaldon Building, Santo Domingo, Albay. Open to all chess players, in two categories: Open and 13-Under. Swiss System at 15 minutes plus 2 seconds per player. The Open champion takes ₱4,000 and the 13-Under champion ₱2,000, with cash down to 12th place in the Open and 8th in 13-Under, plus special awards for top SDA players, ladies, high school, elementary, college, PWD, senior and youngest players. Registration is ₱250 for non-SDA and ₱200 for SDA players in the Open category, and ₱150 non-SDA / ₱100 SDA in 13-Under. Slots are limited — 80 for the Open, 50 for 13-Under. Sponsored by the Sto.
