About the Tournament

The 24th NOYPI 2200U FIDE-Rated Rapid Chess Tournament is a one-day FIDE-rated rapid event presented by the Noypi Chess Association Inc. at Victory Plaza, Caloocan City on Saturday, July 25, 2026. It is open to adults and kids rated 2200 and below on the FIDE Rapid Rating List as of July 1, 2026 — titled, untitled and unrated players are all welcome. The tournament is a Swiss System of 6 or 7 rounds depending on entries, played at 15 minutes + 5 seconds increment under the latest FIDE Rapid Chess Rules. Slots are capped at 120 players on a first-come, first-served basis and there is strictly no onsite registration. A 15U Individual Blitz Chess Tournament runs as a non-FIDE-rated side event the same morning.

Eligibility: Open to adults and kids with a FIDE Rapid Rating of 2200 and below as of the July 1, 2026 FIDE Rapid Rating List. Both titled and untitled players may join, and unrated players are welcome. NCFP membership is required. Maximum of 120 players on a first-come, first-served basis — strictly NO onsite registration. MAIN EVENT SCHEDULE — Confirmation of players 11:15 AM – 11:45 AM · opening ceremony 12:00 – 12:15 PM · free time / final pairings 12:15 – 12:55 PM · Round 1 at 1:00 PM · Round 2 at 1:50 PM · Round 3 at 2:40 PM · Round 4 at 3:30 PM · short break 4:20 – 4:35 PM · Round 5 at 4:35 PM · Round 6 at 5:25 PM · Round 7 at 6:15 PM · awarding ceremony 7:05 PM. SIDE EVENT — 15U INDIVIDUAL BLITZ CHESS TOURNAMENT (NON-FIDE RATED). Open to all players 15 years old and below on tournament day, regardless of rating, gender, residency or nationality. Time control 3 minutes + 2 seconds increment (Fischer mode). Individual Swiss System of 6 or 7 rounds, governed by the FIDE Laws of Chess (Blitz) and tournament ground rules. Reference rating: FIDE Blitz Rating List of July 1, 2026. NCFP membership is NOT required. Limited to 100 players. Pairing protests will not be entertained. How to Register

1. Send a text message or contact Coach Richard R. Dela Cruz via Facebook Messenger to receive the registration link. There is strictly NO onsite registration. 2. Register early — the main event is capped at 120 players and the blitz side event at 100 players, both first-come, first-served. 3. NCFP membership is required for the main rapid event (it is NOT required for the 15U blitz side event). 4. Bring a valid ID on tournament day — school ID, senior citizen ID, SSS/GSIS, or any government-issued ID. Students and senior citizens must present their IDs for verification. 5.
