The Cong. Sheen Gonzales 2x2 Open Rapid Chess Tournament is a two-player team event in Borongan City, Eastern Samar on Saturday, September 5, 2026. Teams must have an average FIDE rating of 1950 and below. Format is a 7-round Swiss System played at 30 minutes + 10 seconds increment, starting at 8:00 AM. Registration is ₱400 per player or ₱800 per team, inclusive of lunch, with a ₱10,000 champion prize and cash down to 10th place plus six special awards.
